Experienced juvenile delinquency defense
Prior to establishing my private practice, I represented clients for twenty years through the Legal Aid Society of New York City. Beginning in 1980, I worked as a lawyer for the Juvenile Rights Division of the Legal Aid Society. I am a strong advocate for my young clients, recognizing that the difference in their futures may depend on how their case is resolved.
Criminal law and juvenile delinquency
With the exception of some serious or violent acts, juvenile delinquency cases are heard in Family Court. A juvenile case involves a fact-finding hearing, which is similar to a trial, and a dispositional hearing, which is similar to a sentencing hearing. My experience provides valuable help to Brooklyn juveniles in both types of hearings. Additionally, I have a good rapport with the Family Court judges and have experience as court-appointed counsel. I am well-versed in juvenile delinquency matters such as:
- Sex crimes
- Other juvenile delinquency matters
If a young person in your life has fallen into trouble, there are many options and rights available to him or her. Please contact my firm today to learn how I can help.
